SERVICES AND INVESTMENTS

Having started its operations in 1985, Elginkan Foundation was established in order to eternalize the industrial organizations founded by the Elginkan Family, and support advancement of Turkey in areas of culture, education, science and technology in particular.

Regarding education as the investment of the future, our Foundation put Manisa Ümmehan Elginkan Vocational and Technical Training Centre in 1994, Elginkan Foundation Bolu Vocational and Technical Training Centre in 2003, and İzmit Ahmet Elginkan Vocational and Technical Training Centre in 2006 into service of the Turkish nation in order to contribute to training of the qualified manpower required by the national industry. 300.000 people have received free education until today in these three Training Centres.

Within the scope of contribution to education activities, the Foundation has had Cahit Elginkan Anatolian High School, İTÜ Ekrem Elginkan High School, Ümraniye Elginkan Foundation Kindergarten Building, E.C.A. Elginkan Anatolian High School, E.C.A. Elginkan Primary School and Ümmehan Elginkan Girls' Dormitory and Dining Hall Building built and donated to the educational world.

Along with the scholarship program towards university students receiving education at undergraduate level, who are successful and lack financial possibilities, Elginkan Foundation has also a Postgraduate Scholarship program, which it carries out in cooperation with the Turkish Language Association (TDK) in order to support works in Turkish Language and Literature. Another component of investment in future is science. Through Elginkan Foundation Turkish Culture and Technology Awards program put into practice by the Foundation in 2006, it aims to contribute to works in that area.

Elginkan Foundation also provides publishing support in order to contribute to culture, science and technology.
